About Behavioral Health
St. Joseph Medical Center Behavioral Health Services are committed to providing compassionate,
wholistic, and quality services to our clients and their families who are coping with a
variety of mental health issues.
To accomplish this task, we offer a full continuum of behavioral health
services designed to meet the individual needs of our clients whether in an
inpatient, partial hospitalization or outpatient setting. Comprehensive services are
provided by a dedicated team of specially trained professionals including:

Senior Behavioral Medicine Center
Senior Behavioral Medicine Center is a 14 bed specialty inpatient unit designed to assist older
individuals and their families who are experiencing emotional and/or behavioral problems. Care is provided
24 hours a day in a quiet and safe environment. The program is located on the 3rd floor of the Downtown

Adult Mental Health Unit
The Mental Health Unit is an 14 bed inpatient unit specializing in treating adults who are
experiencing acute episodes of their illness. Treatment is provided in a therapeutic and safe
environment 24 hours a day. The program is located on the 3rd floor of the Downtown

Partial Hospitalization Program
The Partial Hospitalization Program was developed in an effort to meet psychiatric needs of individuals
who may temporarily require a structured and supportive psychotherapeutic environment though otherwise capable
of functioning safely within their home environment. The program is based on a group therapy model. However,
individual and family sessions are offered as needed. Staff is available Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM.

Outpatient Psychiatric Programs
Outpatient Services are available to persons of all ages (children, adolescents, adults and seniors) to help
our clients cope with everyday problems or concerns. Treatment approaches include individual, marital, family
and group therapies. Services are available by appointment Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM. Select evening
