because of the many benefits to both baby and
the family unit. With a little practice, support and
encouragement from our specially trained staff and
international board-certified lactation consultant,
newborns can enjoy a breastfeeding relationship.
Preparation for Breastfeeding Couples will learn basic physiology and normal infant behavior to get breastfeeding off to a good start. Fathers and grandmothers are encouraged to come and learn the latest evidence-based information to support the nursing couplet. Combining Breastfeeding and Working Returning to work does not mean you need to stop breastfeeding. In this class, topics include choices about exclusive verses partial breastfeeding, the benefits for continuing to nurse, pumping and storage of human milk and individualized tips for the workplace and the baby's caregiver. Parents experiencing breastfeeding difficulties
may schedule a private consultant with a certified
Lactation Consultant. Delivery at the Breidegam
Family Birthing Center is not required. There is a
fee for services, paid at the time of the visit. |
