Emergency Medicine

A total of three months of Emergency Medicine are required during the three years.

All patients seen and examined in the Emergency Room by Family Practice Residents must be presented to an appropriate member of the Attending staff prior to discharge from the Emergency Care Unit.

Residents assigned to the ER for educational experience will be scheduled on a rotating basis. Working hours will be scheduled by the Program Director. The resident is required to do weekend days and shift work may be required.
