In 1937, a very new important piece of equipment was donated to the Hospital, but the donor wished to remain anonymous. This new invention was called an electro-cardiac and stethograph; it is used on patients with heart conditions. Too lengthy to be discussed here, the importance of having such a piece of equipment may be gauged by the Cambridge Instrument Company by whom it is manufactured. They also claimed that the machine was said to be the first one to be installed in a general hospital. A distinction indeed, but best of all is the work it accomplished with the patients who had cardiac problems.
