1964

Renovations were continued throughout the hospital in 1964. The old Surgical Ward was converted in a conference room for doctors, seating approximately 72 persons. With its own visual aids and projectors, it was ideal for lectures and conferences, adjacent to it were the Doctor’s Library and Library Work Room.

A new model X-ray piece of equipment was purchased at a cost of $22,000. The Officers of the Women’s Board of the combined Auxiliaries presented a check for that amount to the hospital for the purchase of the equipment.

A Hubbard Tank for the Physio-therapy Department orthopedic equipment was purchased. The Inhalation Therapy Department was opened with a physio-therapist in charge.
