U.S. News & World Report Ranks Penn State Children’s Hospital Among The Best
The U.S. News & World Report 2017-2018 Best Children’s Hospital rankings were released early this morning. For the seventh year in a row, Penn State Children’s Hospital has been ranked among the Best Children’s Hospitals in the nation in multiple specialties.
The Children’s Hospital was ranked in four pediatric specialties this year: cancer, cardiology and heart surgery, neonatology and orthopaedics.
This is an important and well-deserved recognition. Every day, so many of you work together on the front lines and behind the scenes to ensure that our youngest patients and their families receive the very best, most compassionate care. Thank you. To see these efforts recognized at such a high level, year after year, is truly remarkable.
Parents continually tell us how grateful they are to have our Children’s Hospital so close to where they live. When a child is ill or injured, families can access the most advanced surgeries, therapies and clinical trials, right here in Central Pennsylvania. I’m proud of that, and I hope you are, too.
Thank you to our faculty and staff, residents and students, volunteers, alumni, donors and fundraisers for all that you do to support our Children’s Hospital and the families it serves.
We created a video to celebrate this year’s recognition. I hope you enjoy it.
Congratulations to all of you and thank you again for your efforts to provide unparalleled care for children and families.
